This approach is not portable. This will only work if during TX no ISR need to be handled. This might be true for most transceivers that have MTU <= TX_BUFFER. But if this is not the case (as for the CC110x), ISR needs to be handled while the transceiver is sending out the frame to feed the TX buffer. Blocking in the next call of `netdev_driver_t::send()` would prevent the driver from feeding the TX buffer and will corrupt the frame.
