Hmm, not sure. In the "wdt_init()" case, we'd (conditionally) call the function in "periph_init()", if the module periph_wdt is compiled in. Only that call needs to be guarded.

For "wdt_stop()", if the application doesn't call it, it won't use any space in the binary.
