Did not know that, thank you! (probably should have made it explicit that this was tested in Ubuntu). I'm not very knowledged int he different distributions differences.

I know, but you would still need the --privileged flag to flash. For this to work you don't need to modify the Docker image, not even the updated one (only for term).

Agree that's why I pointed out I didn't find it interesting without flash option

I understand and agree with this point. It was useful for me thinking of applications where you would run this within a rpi, or in a server that also handles other processes, or keep a clean environment. It wouldn't be a default option anyway.

For me an advantage is a keeping a clean environment not having problems or conflicts with your tool chains versions. But a PPA would be great too!

Anyway I can agree with --privileged beeing an important (and no go) issue. Wanted to put it out there as a "WIP" if someone had a workaround.
