I tested the actual PR on my MRF24J40MD. It's working perfectly.

I have a Ti CC2531 802.15.4 sniffer at about 50cm from a MRF24J40MD wired to a Nulceo-F303RE and I'm using pyCCSniffer (a python script) to sniff packets. pyCCSniffer gives the RSSI for each packets at the end printed like RssiSniff[x] where x is the value of RSSI (I think in dBm). The packets are emitted by another MRF24J40MD wired to a Udooneo (native Linux driver).
The RSSI given by pyCCSniffer with MRF24J40_USE_EXT_PA_LNA is about -18. Without the macro, I have a RSSI of about -85.

Another test was to put the Nucleo-F303RE behind a bookcase and small wall which is placed about 12m from the Udooneo. Without MRF24J40_USE_EXT_PA_LNA, I have 100% packets loss. With it, 0% packets loss.

No issue during compilation.
