Do you mean the shell command `receive`? This will read can-frames from a buffer. If the buffer is empty, it will block until a new can-frame is received.
So indeed, while it is blocking, you can't send can-frames yourself. This only applies to the test-app of course. The driver itself does not have this limitation.

Mhmmm, will have to take a look at those again. I'm not sure. Been a while since I've worked on it. 
Problem is though, that I do not have all the hardware anymore (switching companies). I'll see what I can do :)
