To be honest: I haven't seen this bit, because I thought that I understood the modules system by looking into different Makefiles combined with some educated guess. Thus, the current solution is not intuitive to my eyes. I wasn't expecting dependency handling of one module at two completely different paths / folders.

@maribu @kaspar030 Wouldn't it be a quick experiment to move the entire content of `makefiles/pseudomodules.mk` into `Makefile.dep` and measure the additional required time?
