To give you some context. I am a mod on the [ben awad discord](https://discord.com/invite/Vehs99V). He is a [bigger developer Youtube channel](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC-8QAzbLcRglXeN_MY9blyw).
A lot of people are interested in embedded development. Some also already worked with the Arduino IDE, but are not happy with the level of development you can do. When it comes to proper abstraction, the Arduino IDE isn't that great. No implementation of standards, such as 6LoWPAN, RPL etc.
So, there is a some interest in these kind of topics. Said that, they don't find RIOT appealing at all. It starts with the CI. But there are also other topics. Documentation and how easy it is to getting started with RIOT.

My two cents: I want to get more people into RIOT OS. I want to make it easy to use and appealing to user, so that they fall in love with embedded development. Reality is these days: People start with frontend (PHP and Javascript) development and have a certain expectation. Do I like everything from this frontend world? Hell no, Breaking APIs every 6 months is very annoying. Said that, I agree with them to make things easy to use. Even as a developer, you don't want invest too much time into something, just to find out that this OS/Library/whatever doesn't fit your use-case. That is why I am currently writing a snap package which contains everything people need to get started. See #15427.
Is this Logo topic really that important to have such a strong opinion on it? I would even change the whole CI of the project, since it is not very appealing and looks like it stuck in the beginning of the 2000s. It is just a facade to the project. If we get more people into the project by changing the CI, I would go for it. As stupid as it is that people get attracted by this.
